Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Carrier Sales Representative to join our dynamic team. As a Logistics Carrier Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in managing and developing relationships with carriers to ensure the smooth and efficient transportation of goods for our clients. This position is a salaried exempt role and onsite.
Responsibilities:
Source and develop relationships with carriers to build a robust carrier network.
Negotiate freight rates and contractual terms with carriers to secure competitive pricing.
Coordinate and manage carrier dispatches, ensuring on-time pick-up and delivery of shipments.
Monitor carrier performance, resolve any service issues, and provide exceptional customer service.
Collaborate with internal teams to optimize routing and maximize efficiency.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to carrier contracts and transactions.
Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and regulations affecting carrier services.
Manage a book of business to achieve sales targets
Reach and exceed the required load coverage, app percentage, and margin goals
Qualifications:
5+ years experience in a carrier sales/brokerage position
Familiarity with TMS systems
Strong work ethic with a desire to succeed
An understanding of freight markets
An understanding of equipment requirements and transportation regulations
Ability to prioritize and multitask
Clear, confident communication and technical skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Benefits:
Competitive starting salary between $65,500 and $72,000, commensurate with experience.
