Job Description

The Logistics Coordinator / Analyst is an ON-SITE POSITION in our Woodbridge, NJ Facility. This is a critical role within our facility and will be responsible for the following:

• Manage orders daily (review, release, add, cancel, revise)
• Build / Configure / Route trucks using best practice (lower costs, good service, maximizing truck utilization).
• Communicate with carrier operations to tender loads (ensure consistent capacity).
•  Maintain/Prepare rates and terms for existing and prospective lanes with new and current carriers
• Manages key performance indicators to ensure timely and appropriate business decision are made across the supply chain.  (L/T. FR, OT)
• Communicate with internal and external customers, promote a culture of outstanding customer service that fosters customer satisfaction while displaying the highest levels of integrity, professionalism, and service at all times.
• Provide freight quotes as requested to planners/customer service/sales
• Resolve delivery discrepancies due to product damage, delivery shortages or carrier delivery delays.

Qualifications

•  Adaptive, self-starter able to work in a fast pace environment.
•  Previous experience in transportation, warehousing, manufacturing preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Microsoft office programs required (Formulas, pivot tables, charts) (PowerPoint)
• Strong communication skills; both oral and written
• Excellent problem solving, organizational and analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with “Team-first mentality”. Ability to incorporate appropriate phone etiquette.
• RELIABLE must be able to work 40 hrs per week onsite and may include some weekends, holiday as required.
• Will be trained as back-up to other positions within the department.
