    Job Description

    Overview The TAIT Internship program is a fully immersive, experiential program. Interns are placed in a department based on their major and interests, but it is up to them to set goals and define their experience at TAIT. Operations Interns will gain a key understanding of operations management in a custom fabrication environment. Operations Interns will experience multiple stages of the unique TAIT project lifecycle through support of operations functions such as Production Support, Process Alignment and Analysis, Scheduling, Quality Control, Safety, Fabrication, Machining, and Central Services. This position is located in Lititz, PA. Housing and transportation will not be provided. This internship is paid at a rate of $18 an hour and is not eligible for benefits or paid time off. The TAIT internship program is open to college juniors, seniors, and graduate students as well as students attending a two-year trade school. Potential Responsibilities * Participate in process alignment and analysis meetings * Assist with capacity planning/staffing requirements needed to achieve the production requirements and schedules * Assist with quarantines of non-conforming material * Develop an understanding of materials, parts, and elements pertaining to overall build * Take part in the assembly of custom designer and fabricated components * Produce a quality product while focusing on TAIT brand quality and standards * Understanding the impacts of safety on an individual and facility level Ideal Traits * Interest in the performing arts * Understanding of technical project requirements * Background in mechanical and/or electrical fabrication and construction; hands on experience * Excellent written and verbal communication * Ability to handle changing priorities in a fast-paced environment * Should be well-organized with a good attention to detail * Ability to work as part of a team * Strong work ethic Relevant Fields of Study * Business Administration * Welding and Fabrication * Machining * Engineering * Electrical Fabrication * Operations Management * Technical Theatre This role is open to U.S. Residents only.
