    Job Description

    HEALTHCARE RECRUITER

    SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

    The recruiter position is responsible for interviewing, testing and referring applicants for clerical, technical, administrative, clinical and management positions throughout the organization. This position must possess considerable skill in interviewing techniques, a good knowledge of all clerical and specialized functions in the organization, a basic understanding of the organization's organizational structure as well as an extensive knowledge of personnel policy and procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    1. Processes job requisitions.
    2. Coordinates with hiring manager(s) to determine best recruiting process for position(s).
    3. Acts as liaison with area employment agencies and advertising agencies.
    4. Uses traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates.
    5. Screens and interviews applicants.
    6. Coordinates appropriate employment testing.
    7. Conducts employment verifications.
    8. Extends verbal and written contingent job offers.
    9. Coordinates background checks and new-hire drug testing.
    10. Maintains employee referral program(s).
    11. Conducts orientation of new employees.
    12. Follows up with the related clerical aspects of employment, such as completing of health, employment and insurance forms, notifying the department of employee's starting date and the requisition the employee is filling, etc.
    13. Completes weekly report on employment activity.
    14. Manages internal transfer process, including screening, coordination of interviews with hiring manager, transfer offer letters, etc.
    15. Follows up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process.

    18. Conducts stay interviews.
    19. Conducts exit interviews with terminating employees.
    20. Coordinates job fairs, internship and volunteer programs including summer youth education programs (SYEP).
    21. Completes unemployment claims and provides organization representation at unemployment hearings.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    1. Bachelor's degree, preferably in human resources required.
    2. SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred.
    3. Two years of relevant experience.
    4. Experience in healthcare setting preferred.
    5. HRIS experience.
