TAM Retail is searching for a full time, salaried, permanent Help Desk Analyst position who is a qualified, experienced leader. This person must have solid analytical problem-solving skills and possess an innovative approach to addressing issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The position entails working in a call center environment and providing help desk support to troubleshoot and resolve various software and hardware related issues.
The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills and have experience working within a Help Desk. Will possess strong problem solving skills and have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and be able to demonstrate via a written assessment as part of the screening process. In addition, will be able to multi-task, be detail oriented, Windows skills and aptitude to learn quickly.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field.
· 2+ years’ of technical support experience.
· 2 + years of related help desk experience.
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
· Professional demeanor with ability to maintain even temperament in high pressure situations · Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. · Experience with software installation · Knowledge of Windows environments and SQL databases

TAM Retail is now seeking a full-time Technical Demonstration and Training Specialist for our Orland Park, IL offices. Candidates must be able to commute to Orland Park, IL. TAM Retail is a software developer that has been providing an enterprise management application called The Assistant ManagerTM (TAM) throughout the U.S. and Canada since 1980. We serve sell and support organizations in the Healthcare, Non-profits, Parks and Attractions, Specialty Retail industries. TAM is an application that is built to converge commerce wherever our customers drive revenue. The Technical Demo and Training Center Specialist is responsible for fostering customer relationships. The role will be an expert in TAM Retail’s technology offering, enabling them to effectively communicate our company's value and the customer problems that it solves. The Specialist will act as a primary contact in this region for product information, product demonstrations, technical support, and training. This position will also assist in gathering customer requirements, industry trends and engaging with internal Product Management and Engineering teams to further advance our offerings. Responsibilities of our Technical Demo and Training Center Specialist will include: • Develop strong customer relationships, establishing personal rapport with current and prospective customers and acting as a trusted advisor • Develop customer knowledge, by providing product, service and technical information • Identify current and future customer requirements • Conduct company Technology Training courses, including assisting in the creation of training materials • Provide standard technical demonstrations in Web meetings, our Office, and customer sites, effectively conveying our company's value proposition • Design, configure and build customized demonstration systems to satisfy specific customer needs • Collect and summarize market and application trends, operating as a liaison between customers and Product Management • Provide post-sales technical support, answering general support and troubleshooting inquiries and assisting on-site, as required • Required Skills and Experience of our Technical Demo and Training Center Specialist include: • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a related discipline • 1+ years of experience delivering application technical training and/or demonstration support • Strong written and verbal communication skills; an effective communicator of technical information • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong time management skills • Strong interpersonal skills • Ability to work in range of apps, such as Office, Outlook, Goto Meeting and various CRM apps. • Attend periodic tradeshows in the industries we serve. • Ability to travel, including U.S. and Canada TAM Retail offers a dynamic, high-energy work environment where top performers come together to share knowledge, learn new skills, and grow.
