NCCCO Certified Crane Opertor needed IMMEDIATELY!

Full time NCCCO certified hydraulic crane operator needed in the construction of oil refinery tanks. We are looking for a working crane operator. Must be open to getting out of crane and helping crew during down times.

Position overview:

Properly follow company and OSHA procedures

Perform daily inspections on equipment and report any defects or needed repairs to supervisor

Responsible for personal safety and safety of co-workers

Perform preventative maintenance as required to ensure safe and continual service of crane

Remains in continual voice (radio), hand and or communication while operating crane

Responsible for creating environment fostering open communication concerning safety issues

Participates in safety meetings and other safety programs

Assures that all lifts are within load limits of equipment and connected correctly

Assures that lifting gear is inspected prior to use

Follows correct lock-out and tag procedures

Operates crane equipment to hoist materials and equipment in a safe and efficient manner

Must be a team player and willing to work with crew when not actually operating the crane (fitting up, cleaning up, etc.)

Must be willing to travel

Qualifications:

Knowledge of heavy equipment operating principles

Ability to operate equipment under varying working conditions

Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions

Ability to work weekends

Must be able to pass drug/alcohol test
