  • Responsibilities
    • Provide operations and maintenance support for radar hardware systems.
    • Responsible for design and implementation of improvement and modernization (I&M) projects
    • Coordinating and maintaining spares list.
    • Management of scheduled maintenance.
    • Troubleshooting system issues.
    • Provide technical input about system configuration and performance.
    • Apply advanced technical principles, techniques, theories and concepts that will help solve sometimes unusual complex technical problems, and provide solutions which are highly innovative.
    • Lead various disciplines in the completion of projects that may sometimes be technically complex.
    • Maintain the project schedule and budget.
    • Supervise/assist in development of junior engineers, field engineers, and technicians.
    • Technical supervisory role only with no personnel management responsibility.

     

    Required Skills

    • Demonstrated electrical design capability.
    • Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming is required.
    • Familiar with standard electronic test equipment is required.
    • Read schematic diagrams, wiring lists, and assembly prints.
    • Strong communications skills are required including the ability to interface directly with external customers.
    • Familiarity with software such as RSLinx, RSLogix, RSView, Matlab, SPICE, and familiarity with Allen-Bradley hardware (PLC-5 and I/O modules).
    • Familiarity with RF transmission and high power electronics, switchgears, analog and digital control hardware, plus RFI shielding practices is desirable.

    Required Experience

    BS degree in electrical engineering or related engineering discipline

    MS degree in electrical engineering or related engineering discipline desired.

    Eight or more years of related experience

    • Software development in C under VxWorks is highly desirable.
    • Weapons test range operations experience is desirable.
    • Weapons test range systems O&M experience is desirable.

    This position is accompanied.

    • Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Kwajalein Atoll.

    • TRAVELING TO KWAJALEIN ATOLL, YOU ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE A VALID PASSPORT IN YOUR POSSESSION PRIOR TO RELOCATION. YOU MUST MAINTAIN A CURRENT PASSPORT DURING YOUR STAY ON KWAJALEIN ATOLL.

    • You and your authorized dependents, if any, traveling to Kwajalein Atoll, are required to have a valid passport in your possession prior to relocation. You and your dependents must maintain a current passport during your stay on Kwajalein Atoll.

    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance, which includes U.S. Citizenship or U.S. naturalization

    • Valid U.S. Driver’s License required
