    **ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES **include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Construct basic mechanical assemblies using a variety of manual tools and tooling.
    • Review and comprehend Bill of Materials, Assembly drawings and manufacturing instructions.
    • Identify components according to the Bill of Material.
    • Access the company ERP system for BOM, parts inventory, etc.
    • Access computer for relevant program and MIs
    • Check the quality of your own work and the work of others for craftsmanship and accuracy.
    • Maintain awareness of shortages and rejected parts.
    • Clearly communicate information.
    • Participate in team meetings.
    • Follow good housekeeping practices and adhere to all company policies.
    • Work safely.
    • Refer to IPC 610 for acceptance criteria.
    • Repair assemblies as necessary.
    • Document and handle rejected materials in Material Review.
    • Fulfill the requirements of the Torque Log and other ISO logs.
    • Process ECO’s and Deviations.
    • Train others.

    Based on the assigned area of production, the following duties may apply:

    • Set-up, operate and program equipment in the SMT/PCB area, including Screen Printer, CSI, Pick and Place, Wave Solder, Selective Solder, Reflow Oven and AOI machines.
    • Prepare parts for thru-hole assembly.
    • Assemble and solder Thru-hole printed circuit boards.
    • Operate and set up basic testing equipment and perform maintenance.
    • Set up and maintain CNC machines including basic preventive maintenance.
    • Tin wires in solder pot
    • Create various types of cables, jumpers, ribbon and cable wire harnesses.
    • Create and maintain cable wiring boards.
    • Crimp, heat stake, rivet, cement, press, bolt or screw together assemblies.
    • Use torque tools.
    • Use a soldering iron for basic soldering tasks.

    QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ELECTRONICS ASSEMBLER

    • Completion of high school or equivalent
    • Three to six years of relevant experience OR a combination of relevant education, training, and experience
    • IPC J-STD 001 Modules 1-3 or equivalent, based on the job function
    • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees in the organization.
    • Ability to easily navigate the internet and computer programs
    • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight, volume, and distance measurements, as well as American currency.
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
    • Desire to learn from and work with our diverse world-class manufacturing team to create quality products
