    TD Madison & Associates is a retained executive search firm specializing in the wireless and broadband industry. 

    Our client is one of the nation's premier integrated telecommunication providers; their services are connected through company-owned fibrc, satellite, and metropolitan area network facilities to the lower 48 states.  This broadband platform is the only one of its kind in Alaska and allows the company to provide customized services to the Alaska market, covering an area larger than that of Texas, California, and Montana combined. 

    Summary:  Director - or - Senior Director of Wireless Products 

    The  Director -or - Senior Director of Wireless Products will provide leadership for a team charged with wireless product strategy, development, life-cycle management and the overall market success of all aspects of the wireless product portfolio.  Responsibilities include oversight of device OEM and ODM partners, portfolio planning, assessing and communicating competitive insights and rationalization of the wireless portfolio against our other products and services.  Will oversee and develop a top-flight product team of product managers and specialists.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Will develop a product roadmap that will cement our device portfolio, including rationalizing the product lineup against our brand segmentation needs, optimizing models/colors for procurement efficiency and maximizing accessory sales optionality.
    • Will refine our device product requirements, to align with our network evolution.
    • Will be responsibile for OEM/Distributor managment and will lead quarterly business reviews with key suppliers, making data-driven decisions about which devices to source to maximize our opportunity.
    • Will be responsible for optimizing our international roaming structure in partnership with our Business wholesale team to deliver a best-in-class, competitive roaming product.
    • Will be responsible for revenue optimizations through attractive rate plans that maximize wireless product impact across all business lines.  This includes ongoing optimizations to pre- and post-paid products. 
    • Will ensure product documentation is kept current as changes to services are made.
    • Will ensure that assigned products and services maintain both legal and security compliance.
    • Will assist in creating outstanding customer experience by partnering with Marketing, Customer Experience and Customer Service teams to ensure products are living up to our brand promise. 
    • Will be responsible for recruiting additional product team members and developing their wireless depth of knowledge and skills.
    • In support of the 5-year strategy, develop and regularly maintain a 24-month tactical development roadmap for assigned products and services.
    • Will develop and present routine portfolio performance reviews to ensure both customer experience and financial goals are being met. 
    • Will develop and maintain on-going vendor relationships to ensure product stability and maximize product financial performance.
    • Will oversee the management and resolution of material product defects and issues that get escalated from other parts of the organization.
    • Will oversee the ongoing evaluation of portfolio products and optimization of products concerning their lifecycle stage (launch, growth, harvest, retire, etc.)

    Required Qualifications:

    • MBA / Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business, Economics or similar emphasis required.
    • Minimum of twelve years of professional experience of increasing responsibility in one or more of the following areas:  Product Management/Development, Engineering, Product Marketing, Operations or Service Delivery.  Minimum of five years in a Director or equivalent role.
    • Ability to motivate the cross-functional team and demonstrate effective history leading in a matrix organization.
    • Understanding of sales process, strategy development, ability to identify and prioritize initiatives with the biggest impact to the business.
    • Fluent in building and leading against "SMART" goals.
    • A pragmatic approach to feature triage and defining a minimum viable product (MVP).
    • Ability to build and defend a multi-year product roadmap.
    • Business-case development and market imprlementation.
    • Demonstrated success presenting strategic initiatives to senior and executive management.
    • Strong communication and time management skills.
    • Excellent understanding of budgeting, P&Ls, and product profitability analysis.
    • Ability to deliver objectives within budgetary boundaries.
    • Professional demeanor; team player oreintation.
    • Ability to interface with internal/external partners at all levels.
