    DESCRIPTION:

    This position focuses on defining and documenting business processes and identifying process gaps or opportunities for increased efficiencies through changing processes or technology. Involves creating clear and concise specifications. This position will also provide training on our systems and processes.

    A. Expected Results

    1. Business Process Documentation – Create and maintain the business process documentation. This is to encompass US and China / international processes as assigned and prioritized.

    2. Feature or Systems Enhancements – Following the Agile development methodology, create business system requirement documents clearly defining the problem to be solved and the desired results. Assist the communication, documentation and implementation of system changes.

    3. Relationships – Build strong relationships and trust with the team members. Ability to listen and understand issues or frustrations with current processes and systems is critical to the success of the analyst. As trust is gained, communication will increase and the analyst will be able to gain a better understanding of needs and issues.

    4. Coach and Train – Develop and implement training programs to ensure staff are using systems properly and to the full potential. This may involve training end-users or implementing the train-the-trainer approach.

    5. Project Oversight – Provide project oversight by working with your team to define required activities and estimated completion dates. Regularly track project activities, issues and risks and report to management to ensure timely completion.

    6. Systems Support and Analysis – Assist in the daily operational support needed to ensure consistent and efficient operations. Provide research and analysis as needed to help drive company performance.

    B. Accountabilities

    1. Business Processes – Identify, document and maintain business process documentation.

    2. Business Requirements – Identify and document business requirements and specifications for system changes or new features. Clearly specify the business need and/or the problem to be solved. Provide analytical support as needed.

    3. Project Management – Track new product development and continuous improvement activities to ensure the appropriate actions are taking place for successful implementation. Manage and communicate issues and risks.

    4. Knowledge and Continuous Improvement – Be the ‘go to’ person for understanding of processes and systems. Identify areas of training deficiencies and provide solutions to improve.

    5. Communication – Assure the stakeholders understand the business processes and systems and how they interact. The better people understand the processes, systems and their roles, the more effective they can be.

    C. Capabilities

    1. Experience in Software Development and Implementation— Effectively defines, implements and monitors relevant activities in the software development life cycle to deliver quality projects on time with minimal disruption to the operations.

    2. Document Business Processes, Constraints and Requirements – Proven ability to document business processes and requirements in a concise and unambiguous manner. Identify repetitive tasks with potential for improved efficiencies or automation.

    3. Project Management – Ability to provide project management oversight to multiple projects at a time. Professionally and effectively manage projects with competing priorities. Tracking project activities, issues and risks and communicating to leadership. Continuous and consistent follow up as needed.

    4. Process and Systems Dependencies – Understands the business purpose and how the people, processes and systems interact. Understands the dependencies.

    5. Stakeholder Communication – Experience tailoring communication to the specific audience. Able to deliver message effectively depending upon the person and their role.

    6. International / Multi-cultural – Ability to understand, communicate and work with people outside of the US. Understands cultures can vary greatly.
