Job Description

Looking for the candidates who can start immediately.

POSITION PURPOSE: Represent Logistics in a professional manner to our customers, vendors and general public completing and coordinating all office functions in regards to customer service, daily workflow and quality of work with the warehouse operations department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Input customer orders into Database or Warehouse Management System.
• Create files and maintain all files in an accurate manner.
• Acknowledge and provide response or required information to customer on the same day or provide an expected time to provide information.
• Notify customers and receive proper written authorization prior to performing work of all extra charges (e-mail response is acceptable).
• Dispatch containers to trucking companies ensuring that no unnecessary container per diem occurs.
• Prepare documentation to dispatch containers back to the terminals as soon as released or directed by customer,
• Arrange with Steamship lines for late gates. 
• Notify customers when their freight will not make their designated vessel.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES CONTINUES:

• Print all dock receipts for following days’ work.
• Complete container load plans throughout the day, notifying customers of all discrepancies.
• Immediately inform Customer Service Manager of any issue that cannot be resolve by the CSR.
• Review all business with Customer Service Manager keeping communication levels at 100%.
• Maintain and grow customer relations and identify potential account growth.
• Keep all office areas in a clean and orderly manner.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Must be able to communicate both written and verbally in the English language.  Must be able to perform basic math skills.  Minimum computer/typing skills required.

• The position of Customer Service Representative requires a motivated person that is detail oriented and is able to work as a team member to ensure superior service to all our customers.  Depending on the needs of this company other assignments may be added to this job description as required.
