    As part of our Agribusiness team, you'll help our customers leverage technology and data insights to connect upstream and downstream and optimize profitability, efficiency and insights

    The TELUS Agriculture Business Analyst is the Product expert on standard and moderately complex sales opportunities. 

    You will support the Sales teams on documenting requirements for new business opportunities based on the needs and goals of the client, and aligning them to a defined structure for our products. You will represent the Product team within the sales cycle, aligning TELUS Agriculture solutions to current and future clients. You capture the details and make it understandable for our clients, as well as internal stakeholders.

    You will need to understand the critical details of our products and ensure that opportunity specifications fit the defined structure.  On more complex opportunities, you will support our Solution Architects on specific components, as we create new solutions that solve our clients' most challenging problems. You help ensure an efficient sales process, as well as an effective hand-off to our implementation teams, once a contract is finalized.

    1.       SOLUTION CONFIGURATION: Your Product expertise and understanding of our offerings enables you to quickly identify the critical information needed from our clients. This knowledge helps configure a solution our Sales team can pitch and close with our clients. As a member of the team, you will support Sales and Solution Architects as they work with senior decision makers within our strong portfolio of customers.

    2.       ATTENTION TO DETAIL: Your inquisitive style and attention to detail during the sales process will lend itself valuable when articulating how a prospective customer will use our products. The requirements you gather will be leveraged by subject matter experts to estimate the resourcing for new opportunities, as well as contribute to the design of the post-sale implementation plan.

    3.       INTERNAL NETWORKING: As a cross-functional partner, you collaborate well and can navigate a large matrixed organization to ensure the proper subject matter experts are engaged, at the right time. Your ability to network ensures we make fast decisions and have a smooth sales experience for our clients.

    HERE'S HOW

    ·   To support senior team members as they develop long term relationships with our customers

    ·   Understands the needs of agricultural/agri-food industry segments specific to input manufacturers, retail, food, and the data sources complementing each segment.

    ·   Work with relevant teams to plan and configure our products to clients' specifications

    ·   Supports the Sales team by scoping requirements for new business opportunities

    ·   Engage functional experts to provide estimations based on your requirements

    ·   Support the Operations and Technical implementation teams via a formal post-sale kickoff

    ·   Steward standard to moderately complex opportunities through our Deal Governance process

    ·   Works in partnership with functional groups to develop financial models and client contracts

    ·   Participate in cross-functional teams to resolve challenges, implement process improvements

    ·   Able to present ideas or business cases to senior stakeholders with support from Sales and Solution Architects

    ·   Populate standardized contracts with pre-defined details about the clients and how they will use our solutions

    ·   Breaks down moderately complex features into simple stories and materials that land well with customers, demonstrating how the product elements can be configured to achieve customer goals

    ·   Investigate, analyze and present business and industry insight for existing and new markets

    ·   Cultivate strong relationships with our functional leaders, ensuring they understand the needs of our clients

    ·   Assist Sales and Solution Architects with building business cases in support of new business

    ·   To identify and implement process efficiencies that may provide benefit to the customer and enhance our product offering to support TELUS Agriculture position as a strategic partner

     WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

    ·   Degree qualified or equivalent, supported by a recognised qualification in business, analysis or technical arena

    ·   4-7 years experience in enterprise software, management or IT consulting, project management, market research, customer relationship management, or similar experience

    ·   Proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals

    ·   Experience of working within an Agile environment

    ·   Ability to self-manage workload, time and priorities

    ·   Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences

    ·   Proven ability in business requirements gathering

    ·   Able to develop business cases to appropriate level of detail to drive and support business strategic direction and appropriate prioritization

    ·   A track record of developing and managing stakeholder relationships

    ·   Excellent questioning and listening skills, with an empathetic approach and the ability to balance multiple perspectives in delivering the best result for the customer and the business

    ·   Ability to deliver to agreed objectives and timescales within a fast-paced, collaborative  environment

    ·   Quick learner with the ability to make connections and solve problems effectively

    ·   Methodical and structured approach ensuring accuracy and attention to detail

    ·   Excellent time management and project management skills

    ·   Ability to recognise and adapt appropriately to changing conditions and requirements

    ·   Experience within the Agribusiness/Agri-Food industry, a definite asset 

    ·   Technical knowledge of software development
