    The Global Head of Product for Agribusiness reports to the Vice President, Agribusiness and acts as one of the key Senior Leaders within the overall Product team, serving as the product visionary responsible for delivering the product strategy, roadmap, and end user experience for Agribusiness.

    The Global Head of Product will work closely with the Vice President of Agribusiness to develop the company's product vision, strategy and is responsible for driving company-wide initiatives, ensuring it meets the short and long-term objectives.  The Global Head of Product is a confident leader with a strong understanding of the Agriculture and Software industries to ensure the strategic direction delivers sustainable profit and market growth

    The ideal candidate must have extensive knowledge of the Agribusiness Product Strategy including but not limited to Competitive Intelligence, Market Problems, Market Definition, Product Portfolios, Product Profitability, User Personas, etc. A successful candidate has the relevant experience to control and oversee all Product strategic initiatives, managing and growing a world-class team and working with the wider business inclusive but not limited to technical teams, sales, services, support and customer marketing.

    As a key functional leader in the business, the Global Head of Product understands the bigger picture of the TELUS Agriculture & Consumer Goods business, is an ambassador for the company,  and champions the value that TELUS Agriculture & Consumer Goods and the Agribusiness business unit brings to the clients.

    HERE'S HOW

    • Working closely with the Vice President of Agribusiness, you will develop the company's product vision, strategy, and lead all aspects of the end-to-end product experience by designing, building, launching, and scaling products for the Agribusiness team.

    • Develop a deep understanding of Agribusiness strategy and translate customer needs into a product strategy, by defining and testing Value Propositions with users to ensure monetizable and scalable value that translates into business growth and revenue goal achievement

    •  Measure success of product features using tangible KPIs, analyze results, and partner across the Agribusiness organization to develop action plans and enhancement recommendations

    • Partner with engineering Directors to define and articulate the customer experience and translate it into an executable roadmaps, strategy, and implementation plan

    • Gather relevant intelligence to drive impactful change and provide critical insights into new products and features

    • Work closely with engineering teams to coordinate, and drive product design in alignment with major trends

    • Enable your team to effectively coordinate the needs of other stakeholder groups in a way that balances requirements, sets and manages expectations, and leads to successful and timely results

    • Create product development timelines and release goals that align with key partners across the organization, notably with Engineering Business Unit Leaders, and clearly communicate a no-surprises philosophy

    • Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration while creating an environment of continuous improvement.

    • Drive a scientific-method-driven approach with rigorous testing

    • Devise and communicate clear long-term objectives, goals, and expectations for Agribusiness

    • Partner with Customer Marketing to co-create go-to-market strategies to serve our customers and differentiate TELUS Agriculture & Consumer Goods from our competitors

    • Continue to broaden the Agribusiness value proposition by building new products and capabilities such as marketplaces, customer advisory boards, and more

    • Provide strategic advice to the Leadership Team to ensure an accurate view of the Agribusiness market and business units future

    • Lead revenue strategy for a mix of assets across Agribusiness

    • Work closely with marketing and sales to evaluate market opportunities for product positioning, as well as acquisition identification - where do we acquire next

    • Work with Strategy Teams to make sure that the vision and plan is delivered though Buy, Build, or Partner tactics

    • Lead by example in contributing to a strong company culture and high-performing collaborative working environment

    • Be a strong leader in driving company-wide initiatives and objectives, and contribute to the team's growth

    WHAT YOU BRING TO THIS ROLE

    • Valued for your 10+ years of leadership in the Agribusiness Software industry in the areas of product management and product strategy.
    • Proven success in a role such as a Director/Global Head position
    • Experience developing Product strategies and executing/delivering said strategies
    • Ability to develop and implement operational procedures and business strategies
    • Proven business acumen and understanding of digital agriculture equipment, data, and solutions
    • Proven Industry background in a senior role
    • Previous Agribusiness experience in Product, Software, or Retail
    • Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral), presentation, and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
    • Experience and understanding of software companies and the agriculture industry
    • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment, and deliver measurable results
