• As part of our Global Technology team, you'll help drive product development, business systems, data analytics, security and architecture. The Business Analyst's chief responsibility will be to translate business needs from various stakeholders to requirements and user stories for one of our key Agriculture software products. Reporting to the BA Lead, the Business Analyst role is also important for the continued growth in capacity of the team by ensuring that high quality analysis and planning is achieved, enabling high quality downstream development. Technical writing forms another key responsibility as there is a need to write and edit release notes, explain complex information in a clear and concise manner, and work with internal stakeholders to enable high customer satisfaction.

HERE'S HOW

• Works with the product owners to create and document requirements and user stories
• Works with the product owners to understand requirements' dependencies
• Supports the BA Lead with intra-team dynamics with respect to priorities and scope
• Conducts just-in-time analysis and ensures usability of the application
• Plans, organizes, writes, and edits release notes and online help
• Creates specification documents for the development team (level of documentation may vary depending on the requirement and specific need of the team)
• Works with developers and QA analysts during development and testing activities
• Assists with creating user acceptance criteria and participates in testing the application
• Able to lead post-mortems and root cause analysis sessions to help the team continuously improve their practices and ensure maximum productivity
• Participates with the team to define and implement improvement stories to increase the velocity and quality of the program
• Manages other special projects and other duties as needed

WHAT YOU BRING TO THIS ROLE

Minimum 7 years with business analysis and technical writing skills with at least 2 years performing user driven development with an agile team

Proficient at translating business needs from external and internal stakeholders into requirements and user stories for a development team

Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices

Experience working with product owners to facilitate the sizing of epics and user stories

Ability to understand and represent both the business and technology

Excellent communicator in person, using a communication platform, and through email

Proficient with user driven development and requirements gathering

Experience writing functional specifications

Experience with transactional Web and analytical applications (BI)

Passionate commitment to delivering products on time

Asset – Experience with UI / UX design

Asset – Experience with the Agriculture industry, specifically Animal Health

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree or similar experience
• Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
