The Platform team provides cutting-edge internal products and solutions to the engineering organization at Telus Agriculture and Consumer Goods. On this team you will work closely with other departments to ensure that the platform is able to meet their needs and is scalable for future growth. This provides you with the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment where you will use your expertise in coding, analytics, and large scale distributed system design to solve complex challenges. Here's how

• Work closely with software engineering teams to design, test, and maintain scalable and high performant infrastructure solutions that allow for expedient software releases
• Migrate existing applications to modern cloud computing platforms
• Create and maintain Platform Kubernetes clusters and application stacks that will be used by production workloads
• Drive automation of cloud infrastructure using modern Infrastructure as Code tools and practices
• Consolidate and standardize existing infrastructure for cost optimization
• Create and maintain system information and architecture diagrams
• Actively facilitate continuous improvement by staying current with industry trends to advance our processes and workflows

What you bring to this role

Minimum Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with cloud platforms
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
• Linux Admin skills (using the command line, Bash shell, etc)
• Experience with scripting and automation tools such as Bash and Python
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Please note that due to the nature of this role and the need for seamless collaboration with the existing team, we can only consider candidates who are located within the PST (Pacific Standard Time) or MST (Mountain Standard Time) time zones ****

• Proficiency in Kubernetes and containerized workloads
• Experience with designing large scale distributed systems
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP

Job Information**

Location - Remote (PST Time zone preferably)
Employment Type - Full Time
Career Stream Level - P4

The US base salary range for this position is: $112k - $138k USD. This position may be eligible for a 15% performance- based BONUS. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. Within that range, individual pay is determined by work location and a variety of factors, which may include but not limited, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held.
