    Job Description

    JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

    Accomplishes day-to-day human resource functions for the Agency. Prepares reports used for internal and/or external human resource requirements.  Performs the following duties directly.

    IN THIS OPPORTUNITY YOU WILL GET TO:

    • Provides information to employees on all aspects related to human resources.

    • Prepares, coordinates, and forwards human resource reports, when requested.

    • Maintains accurate and complete data in the Agency’s Great Plains Human Resources Module.

    • Maintains personnel files, including storage and maintenance of key documents in electronic format.  

    • Accomplishes yearly review and accomplishes actions to correct/update files, such as background checks. 

    • Ensures required documentation is included in files and makes request for missing and supportive information.

    • Contributes to the completion of organizational projects & goals.

    • Frequent use and general knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards.

    • Applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.

    • Communicates on complex or sensitive issues or drafts such responses for supervisor or manager

    • Partner with HR Manager to develop appropriate human resource plans in support of key business needs in a dynamic environment and develop / implement appropriate change management plans as required.

    • Maintain, coordinate, monitor and report HR trends and issues within scope of work.

    • Promotes agency by attending career fairs.

    • Assists in monitoring employee performance evaluation system.  Notifies supervisors when evaluations are due.

    • Accomplishes media advertisements to fill open positions within the Agency.  Receives, reviews and distributes resumes and applications.

    • Accomplishes internal/external postings on open positions within the Agency.

    • Completes applicant’s reference checks during the hiring process and makes the job offer, after coordination with the appropriate department.

    • Processes employee status change requests.

    • Accomplishes purchase orders and directs actions through the payroll department.

    • Complies with FMLA, COBRA and HIPAA requirements.

    • Ensures human resource activities are carried out in compliance with local, state and federal regulations and laws governing businesses.

    • Coordinate the recruitment and selection process for both internal and external hires, ensuring compliance with all applicable contractual, legal, and policy-related requirements. Post jobs, source and screen candidates, and participate in interviews with hiring managers and others, as appropriate. Coordinate the pre-employment processes, including preparing offer recommendations, extending job offers, and facilitating pre-employment drug and background screens. Provide feedback to hiring team, as appropriate.

    • Will be required to travel in order to attend meetings, training, or conduct business off site.  Must have a valid driver's license and meet agency underwriting standards if driving on agency business.  Not required to transport clients.

    • Refrains from assuming any duty that is unrelated to and/or interferes with the responsibilities of the position.

    • Advocates, promotes and practices cultural sensitivity and responsiveness in all day-to-day interactions.

    • Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope & complexity.

    • Develops, promotes and practices teamwork in all activities.

    • Other duties as assigned

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    Bachelor's degree REQUIRED.

    Minimum of three years of human resource REQUIRED. 

    General application of concepts & principles.
