Job Description

Looking to fill a position as a project coordinator to manage the process of working drawings, fabrication and installation of custom signage.

Must have experience in the sign industry. Working knowledge in signage products, or experience is small, instant sign company environments would be helpful.

General computer skills required.

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for building and maintaining strong client relationships. Works directly for a project manager. Continually monitors projects throughout the entire fabrication phase to ensure that projects are being built correctly and within the budgeted hours. Provides excellent customer service and can get back to clients quickly, same day preferably with accurate and timely information. Writes detailed work orders to the fabrication department which specifies the work breakdown structure so that the shop knows exactly what to deliver and when. Can write, update and stay on top of schedules on a daily basis.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Writes work orders

· Manages and works with other vendors

· Writes, updates, monitors and ensures schedules are being followed

· Communicates daily with the Project Manager

o Updates the Project Manager immediately if there is any change to the schedule.

o Updates the Project Manager with percentage complete on a daily basis and tracks hours to date on the job.

o Keeps a task list of items, updates daily and sends to the project manager.

· Builds and cultivates client relationships. Continually exceeds the customer's expectations.

· Responsible for laying out teams Via work breakdown structure, managing efficiency, quality and ensuring the schedule is being followed per plan.

· Responsible for returning calls and emails daily.

· Always runs risk assessments prior to project take off and lays out a plan with a zero-risk approach to minimize mistakes and maximize profit.

· Continually monitors projects to help prevent mistakes from happening.

· Always knows the budget to date of his/her job.

· Can pack and ship items for next day delivery either FEDEX, GSO or pallet shipment.

· Can create a bill of lading with all the necessary information for shipping.

· Excellent communication skills. Can communicate in a way that a person who has absolutely no experience with signage can fully understand what is being said.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Can manage all subordinates in a way that brings the project in within the budgeted hours.

· Is known for having perseverance and going the extra mile to make things work and complete projects on time.

· Poise, Patience and Professionalism in dealing with all staff, clients, coworkers, superintendents and inspectors.

· Ability to mulit-task and respond to emails and calls with 24 hours.

• Excellent Problem Solving Skills & can troubleshoot remotely Via verbal directive.
• Successful budget management.
• Excellent communication skills and quick response time with all correspondence.
• Can successfully maintain strong continual client relationships.

2 years experience as a Project Coordinator in the signage industry. .

Can interpret drawings

Architectural Signage, Construction, Experience drawing with either Adobe illustrator, Corel Draw or AutoCAD

Interacts with poise, patience and professionalism.
