The accounting operations teams are responsible for ensuring that the financial results are accurately presented under both US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards. There are a variety of teams within accounting operations which provides opportunities for professional growth and development. The teams are responsible for areas such as corporate accounting, accounting policy, supply chain accounting, equipment sales accounting, revenue accounting and fixed asset and lease accounting.

The Corporate Accounting team is seeking an Accountant who will be heavily involved in accounting and reporting store cash sales and credit card sales. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in general accounting and a strong analytical and problem-solving ability. Applicants should have extensive experience handling very large volumes of data and complex Excel analysis. This position will also be responsible for month-end close activities and quarterly auditor interactions. To accomplish these tasks, the accountant will interact with many other teams such as Treasury, Sales Operations, and Cash Applications.

Qualifications

Blackline Matching Module experience, or equivalent, strongly preferred.

High proficiency in Excel required.

Solid understanding of accounting theory and accounting systems; SAP experience a plus.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

2-3 years of relevant accounting experience.

Creates monthly reports and provides to various customers.

Ensures accounting records, monthly accounting close activities, and variance analysis are properly prepared, maintained and explained in a timely manner.

Understands business drivers and their effect on financial results to ensure business changes are accurately reflected in the financial processes and analysis.

Understands the transactional flow through various systems to monitor and ensure accurate financial results and controls.

Participates in cross-departmental projects. Identifies and documents the impact of new programs or system changes on existing accounting processes.

Responsible for preparing journal entries, performing variance analysis, reconciling complex ledger accounts.

Produces accurate and timely ad-hoc reporting from multiple data sources
