OFF PREM SERVER JOB DESCRIPTION:

You enjoy a fast pace work environment and being on the move? You enjoy working with the public? Then this is the job for you! Ideally, TGIS is looking for service team members who bring a courteous professionalism to all events. TGIS Servers are the wait staff who are an important member of the catering team helping to create successful events. Team members will be required to work with additional TGIS Catering Staff such as chefs, bartenders and dishwashers. TGIS Off Premise Servers will interact with guests so bringing a friendly disposition. Because this is off-premise work, the unloading and reloading of equipment and food onto trucks is required. Off-premise work is performed in private residences, Museums, event facilities, banquet facilities, rooftops and any event spaces. Tray passing, setting up stations and buffets as well as performing organized sit-down service are among the tasks that will be requested of you. In short, off prem servers are responsible for the set-up, execution, breakdown and clean-up of events. Come and join the team!

OFF PREM SERVER JOB DUTIES:

Assist in the unloading of food and equipment from the truck/vans.

Place all equipment and food in designated events areas.

Set tables, buffet and stations.

Ability to be attentive to guests needs:

Professional friendly service

Refill beverages

Bussing clear china flatware and glassware

Answer guest questions

Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness

Adhere to grooming and appearance standards.

Clean up venue after event ends and assists with inventory, food storage and other closeout tasks.

Load up all equipment onto TGIS truck.

OFF PREM SERVER PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ABILITIES:

Frequently walking with some standing at times, possibly extended distances; ability to bend and climb stairs when necessary.

Frequently lift/carry up to 25 lbs.

Occasionally lift/carry up to 50 lbs.

Ability to reach with hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly.

Flexible hours.

Availability to drive up to 35 miles to varied style of events including plated, buffets banquets, station themed and tray passed.
