    Event Sales Manager conceive, organize and execute special affairs as corporate receptions, weddings, birthday parties, anniversaries and bar and bat mitzvah. They custom design events that suit their clients’ needs and budgets.

    Events Sales Managers, assume various responsibilities depending on their clients’ requests. They begin by meeting with customers to determine the type of party they would like to host with the available budget. If the event is at an off-site location, they visit the site to take pictures, measure the space, and draw floor plans. This information is key to transforming the site to suit the occasion.

    Event Sales Managers often do extensive research and assume all responsibilities for planning a party, from cuisine to booking vendors. They should be present during the event to handle any problems that may arise. In addition, they remain at the site after the affair is over to supervise the cleanup.

    This is a management position, which will require the candidate to provide professional direction to the staff that they will be overseeing.

    · Knowledgeable of food service styles, as well as Food Health & Safety Standards

    · Two-plus years’ experience in event and venue sales in event planning industry

    · Experience Planning events from 10 to 500 guests

    · Ability to work directly with Clients and ensure all clients requests are met

    · Able to work nights and weekends as the event industry requires

    · Willingness to attend networking, educational and social functions to increase visibility and sales

    · Willingness to bring in new business, make contacts, sales, and push the Brand you represent

    · Coordinate details of events such as wedding, birthdays, anniversaries, charity events, surprise parties, trade shows, sales meeting, business meetings, employee appreciation events, and tenant appreciation events

    · Computer skills and experience involving invoicing, proposals, deposits, BEO’s and equipment pull sheets including all necessary event paperwork

    · Calculate budgets, analyze, and make adjustments when necessary

    · Work with internal departments including staffing, warehousing, and culinary

    · Accounting duties such as invoice processing, vendor payments and receipt collection

    · Understands contracts such as customer, vendor, and venue

    · Ability to achieve sales goals

    · Knowledgeable in workings of banquet facilities, floor plans, room set up and planning and executing an event

    · Manage staff responsible for event coordination activities

    · Professional, detail oriented, multi-tasking, time management and deadline oriented

    · Provide Staffing Manager with Event Staffing needs

    · Ensures staff is adequately prepared for event

    · Strong ability to analyze & evaluate overall event performance
