    Harvest Associate:

    Candidate Requirements as per State Law:

    -Must be 21 years of age or older

    -Must be a Michigan resident with a Michigan Driver's License/ and or State Issued Identification Card

    -Must be able to successfully complete a State and Federal Background Check

    GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

    The Harvest team is tasked with harvesting medicinal cannabis plants from grow rooms. The Harvest Associates are responsible for harvested plants throughout the harvest stage utilizing best practices and protocols. This includes trimming, hanging, de-stemming and maintaining chain of custody from harvest to inventory.

    TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    Work requires periods of prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and sitting. Requires normal range of hearing. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate trimmers, shears, instruments of measure, storage containers, etc.

    TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

    Work is performed in busy medical cannabis grow rooms and drying and curing room. The grow rooms can be loud due to pumps, air conditioning, ventilation fans, etc. Will be in almost constant contact with plants. Work can be stressful and may include dealing with deadlines, equipment failure, temporary power loss and other stressful and distracting issues. Should be available to work varied hours and/or days, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

    PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:· 

    · Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations with coworkers and supervisors.

    · Need to operate electronic scales, trimming equipment (shears, scissors and hand-held trimmers) and mechanical trimming machine.

    · Needs to be very organized and patient.· Ability to work under pressure without losing composure.

    · Ability to meet the needs of administrators and managers without constant supervision.

    · Ability to solve practical problems and operate a computer and radio.

    · Ability to multi-task many diverse types of workloads in a hectic environment.

    · Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

    · Must be available to work varied hours and/or days, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

    · Must be able to visually identify plants by strain.
