Forklift Operator is responsible for handling palletized materials in the warehouse, loading & unloading trucks safely and efficiently.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Load & unload flatbed and box trailers with correct SKUs
• Inspecting pallets for quality before loading
• Accurately complete required paperwork
• Removal of pallets from the manufacturing line
• Stacking of pallets for storage/unstacking pallets for shipping
• Physical Inventory Counts
• Basic maintenance on assigned machine, fueling, daily inspection checklist
• Maintain a clean machine
• Be willing to help in all directions in the shop & yard; includes willingness to learn how to operate additional machines, operate bagging equipment, testing of materials, cleaning, etc.
• Communicate professionally with all drivers and customers
• Communicate with front office staff of issues with orders, etc

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience operating a forklift (using forklift daily for most of shift worked)
• Experience loading/unloading flatbed trailers
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to use time efficiently
• Must be organized and detail oriented
• Willingness to learn and work in all directions
• Ability to work overtime and weekends when necessary
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors during all weather conditions
