As an Electrical Contracting Estimator, you will be a pivotal member of our team, focusing on the pre-construction phase of our projects. Your expertise will ensure the accurate estimation of costs related to electrical installations, directly impacting our project planning and execution phases. Responsibilities:

• Thoroughly review project plans, specifications, and drawings to accurately determine electrical requirements
• Conduct on-site assessments to collect essential information, collaborating with project stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive understanding of project needs
• Develop detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, and equipment, utilizing your analytical skills and industry knowledge
• Use estimating software and tools to prepare accurate and competitive bids, ensuring alignment with project goals and client expectations
• Identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings, integrating this analysis into your estimation process
• Work with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for electrical components, enhancing the value and competitiveness of our bids
• Prepare and present cost estimates to clients, participating in bid negotiations as necessary to secure projects
• Maintain meticulous records of project estimates, bids, and all pertinent documentation, ensuring transparency and accuracy
• Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continually enhance your expertise and the quality of your work
  

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an electrical estimator or a similar role within the construction industry
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards
• Strong analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail, ensuring accurate cost estimations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to work effectively with team members and clients
• Experience with estimating software such as Accubid, McCormick, BHS, or similar programs is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Valid Missouri driver's license with willingness to travel to project sites within the Saint Louis Metro area as needed
