The mission of The Burlington Academy of Learningis to provide quality childcare and exceptional educational programs to children ages 6 weeks to 12 years

We are looking to add an experienced Toddler Teacher to our team of teachers in our Junior Academy

TODDLER TEACHER RESPONSIBILITIES

Inspire, guide, and support children age 18-24 months

preparing supplies for art and other projects

preparing materials for a lesson

preparing and serving snacks, cleaning up after snacks and projects, assisting children during projects and activities,

reading stories,

taking children to the bathroom, diaper changes

assisting in keeping the children’s environment stimulating, exciting, fun, and safe.

REQUIREMENTS

Teacher must have two year experience working with this age group or similar age group in a group setting

Early Childhood education

Willingness to learn

Ability to work on a team

Warmth, caring, strong work ethic and passion for play a MUST!

Must be able to stand on your feet for up to 90% of the day, capable of lifting up to 30 pounds, able to sit on the floor and crouch down, and perform all activities with the children including running, jumping, etc.

Must complete mandatory state safety trainings and maintain the required annual training hours as noted in our Employee Handbook and are required by the State of Connecticut.
