Job Summary
We are looking for a Machine Operator to use computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery safely and accurately to perform a variety of functions, including bending, tapping, and other sheetmetal work. The goal is to produce high quality parts and materials by operating and maintaining the machines.
Duties include manufacturing material using a CNC Punch Press. While the job will primarily be focused on operating and maintaining the punch press, other skills, such as general assembly or other machine operations may be used.
On the job training will be provided for programming and punch operation. Compensation dependent on experience
Responsibilities
Prepare and operate machines to perform tasks such as punching sheetmetal, drilling, grinding/sharpening etc.
Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function
Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines
Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly
Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality

Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings

High school diploma or equivalent
