JOB DESCRIPTION: TALENT ACQUISITION MANAGER
Theoria Medical is a comprehensive medical group and technology company dedicated to serving patients across the care continuum with an emphasis on post-acute care and primary care. Theoria serves facilities across the United States with a multitude of services to improve the quality of care delivered, refine facility processes, and enhance critical relationships.
We are the largest post-acute care group in Michigan, and we currently provide medical services to skilled nursing facilities in multiple states. The company is continuing national expansion and we’re seeking talented individuals to join our amazing team.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for more than just finding great talent. This position is responsible for creating, implementing and maintaining a comprehensive outreach plan that will develop and secure a pipeline of talent for years to come. This includes the full life cycle of recruitment activities including job description development, sourcing, screening resumes, interviewing candidates, negotiating salaries, extending job offers, working with the TM recruitment team to implement onboarding strategies, and keeping accurate records of all candidates and new hires. It also includes working with Human Resources and leadership to develop strategic and tactical staffing plans to effectively support the talent acquisition process, as well as developing, tracking and maintaining metrics pertaining to talent acquisition including time to fill, time to onboard, rate of rejection, talent risk segments, and succession planning. Essential functions include the following:
- Actively supports talent acquisition at all levels by sourcing candidates via incoming applications and resumes, networking, referrals, career fairs, colleges/universities, warm calling and any other creative tactics relevant to achieving staffing objectives outlined.
- Manages a team of corporate recruiters who actively seek out candidates
- Provides a high level of customer service and effectively guides Theoria Medical Hiring Managers through the selection and hiring process. Ensures that timely follow up is maintained during all steps in the acquisition process. Works with Human Resources and Hiring Managers to identify and highlight for candidates the value proposition associated with Theoria Medical and the specific position being sourced.
- Develops and maintains positive and productive relationships with candidates, ensuring their successful navigation of the Theoria Medical interview and hiring process. Provides information as needed and answers questions timely.
- Initiates contact with potential external candidates, conducting preliminary screening (phone, email or in person depending on the role), and evaluates information obtained against position requirements. Highlights highly qualified candidates for Hiring Managers, providing interview notes and other relevant information as appropriate.
- Reviews internal Theoria Medical candidates to ensure minimum qualifications are met and secures relevant employment history, attendance and other information documenting “good standing” and provides it to Hiring Managers for consideration.
- Prepares new hire packets and coordinates the processing of all new hires for employment including reference and background checks, and onboarding, including coordinating the scheduling of initial training.
- Effectively communicates with candidates who do not meet position qualifications and redirects them to other opportunities as applicable. Assists with scheduling interviews, participates with onsite interviews as requested, and ensures the timely processing of all employment-related activities for applicant tracking purposes.
- Effectively supports the selection of final candidates, conducts background and reference checks, collaborates with Hiring Manager and Human Resources to determine pay rate, works collaboratively with Hiring Manager to extend conditional job offer, and initiates the onboarding process of candidates selected for employment.
- Coordinates and attends relevant local job fairs or other recruitment opportunities to promote Theoria Medical an employer of choice.
- Reviews weekly advertising/posting of positions through all media, writes and refreshes advertising, ensures that postings are maintained at all relevant area schools, online advertising, and social media.
- Provides support and assistance to Human Resources staff related to Talent Acquisition and Management as needed. This may include market surveys to ensure that salaries, benefits, and other opportunities afforded to potential hires are competitive for recruitment and retention purposes.
- Completes special projects as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor Degree from an accredited institution in Human Resources or related area.
- Must possess at least two (2) years of relevant Talent Acquisition and Management work experience.
- Experience working in a Human/Social Services or Healthcare setting required.
- Professional Certification in Human Resources preferred (PHR/SPHR).
- Excellent organizational and project planning skills with the ability to work on several projects simultaneously, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Must possess strong familiarity with HRIS systems, crystal reporting, and report writing. Experience with Cyber Applicant Tracking System a plus.
- Computer literacy and competency with Microsoft Office Professional package including demonstrated proficiency in Access, Excel and Word.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong team orientation with the ability to work collaboratively with professionals at various levels with the organization and with diverse populations.
- Familiarity with Federal, State and Local laws pertaining to Human Resource and Payroll activities.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
- Salary: $40,000-$60,000 per year
