    Third Coast is an offshore focused midstream company headquartered in Houston, Texas. Our operations in the Gulf Coast area include on and offshore pipeline systems and platforms in the Gulf of Mexico. The employee work locations consist of Houston Corporate office and gas control facility, and field offices and facilities in Louisiana and Mississippi.

    Position and Responsibilities

    We’re seeking an experienced offshore Pipeline Technician based in Picayune, MS for 4/10 with daily trips to/from mostly offshore work locations. Successful candidate must live in the Picayune area. Pipeline Technician is responsible for the operation and maintenance of pipelines and gathering systems, and ensuring equipment and systems are operating efficiently in accordance with safety and service requirements.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Perform maintenance and repair work on pipelines, metering stations and related equipment.
    • Perform safety checks, inspections, and test gas meters in assigned area of responsibility.
    • Perform technician services as directed and in accordance with specific project work plan and operating procedures.
    • Serve as first responder to pipeline emergencies.
    • Respond to and resolve one-call tickets.
    • Maintain, calibrate, and repair measurement equipment, e.g., meters, provers, flow computers.
    • Knowledge of and adherence to safety and environmental guidelines and requirements when performing job duties.

    Working Conditions

    • Worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions and weather at variety of work locations including offshore platforms.
    • Physical activities of this position include lifting up to 50 lbs. frequently; climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling and repetitive motion.
    • Worker is required to perform job duties in required PPE including steel toe boots, respirator, hard hat, and appropriate electrical arc flash gear.
    • Occasional travel including overnight stays as needed to other work locations and/or offices. Volume varies by work location.
    • Helicopter or boat transport required to and from platform.
    • Position subject to DOT Pipeline drug/alcohol testing requirements.
    • 4/10 schedule, subject to change.

    Requirements

    • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Minimum two years oil and/or gas pipeline experience with demonstrated knowledge of pipeline regulations
    • Offshore experience including testing gas meters. LACT meter proving experience a plus. Assigned job level (I, II or II) depends on experience
    • Possess and maintain HUET certification and TWIC Card. Safe Gulf Card a plus.
    • Valid Driver’s License
    • Proficient computer skills
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal in English, required
    • Strong interpersonal skills including ability to work cooperatively and effectively with internal and external colleagues
    • Ability to work independently, adapt, deal with interruptions, prioritize and complete assignments under pressure in a fast-paced environment
    • Must be able to travel and work on a call-out basis.
