    Job Description We are currently seeking an entry level project engineer (0 to 2 years) to join our growing team. In this position, you will be responsible for monitoring on-going construction and paving projects, surveying projects, estimating labor and materials costs, and communicating financial cost and project timelines to management. The ideal candidate will have a keen attention to detail and skills at maintaining project-related documentation, field measurements, and basic estimating skills. This is an excellent opportunity for a young professional eager to learn about the construction industry. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Read basic project plans and analyze other applicable documents to accurately determine project requirements and estimate and measure material quantities. - Liaison between field execution teams and main office to assure accurate reporting of daily activities. - Collaborate with contractors and engineers during estimate creation to ensure overall accuracy. - Assist with the calculation, analysis, and adjustment of estimates; assist with the preparation of change orders. - Maintain records of project documentation including estimates, sales receipts, and project completion documentation. QUALIFICATIONS: - Have completed two years or more of studies toward a bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering or the equivalent preferred; background in mathematics highly desired - Computer skills; proficient at Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel); exposure to blueprint takeoff software (such as Bluebeam and AutoCAD) will be a plus. - Interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal. - Critical thinking, analytical, and organizational skills; time management skills. - Ability to travel as required.
