    Job Description

    We are looking for a seasoned web app developer to work on a new team that is developing a “0->1” artist tools initiative, an investment to further our mission of empowering artists with the right tools to succeed and grow their careers.

    In this role you will join a team of 1 other web developer, 2 android, 2 iOS, 2-3 backend developers and partner closely with the Engineering, Product and Design Managers For TIDAL Artist Tools. You will also collaborate with our wider Web App chapter to contribute to our common goals.

    • Create the best possible product for TIDAL users
    • Write beautiful code which is easy to understand and maintain, for others and yourself
    • Participate in product definition and roadmap decisions
    • Care deeply about performance and accessibility
    • Stay updated on frontend technology
    • Be a self-motivated developer who enjoys working with a team
    • Solve complex problems, demonstrating a passion for technology and putting in the extra effort to make sure users love your work
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    You have:

    • 5+ years of experience developing production web applications
    • Advanced JavaScript knowledge
    • Experience with and knowledge of:
    • Using frameworks and patterns in large JavaScript applications (like React/Redux or similar)
    • Writing tests (unit-, integration- and end-to-end tests)
    • Web standards
    • TypeScript
    • Cross-browser development and debugging skills
    • Clear written and spoken English communication skills

    Nice-to-have:

    • Experience building products in the music streaming, creator tools, or adjacent spaces

    Additional Information

    Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

    Zone A: USD $163,600 - USD $245,400
    Zone B: USD $155,400 - USD $233,200
    Zone C: USD $147,300 - USD $220,900
    Zone D: USD $139,000 - USD $208,600
