Warehouse Worker/Counter Sales

Summary Join our team as a Warehouse Worker/Counter Sales Associate specializing in hoses and fittings. This position involves a blend of customer interaction at the counter and diverse warehouse responsibilities, ensuring an engaging and fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities As a Warehouse Worker/Counter Sales Associate, you'll:

Provide exceptional service to walk-in customers, assisting them from inquiry to order fulfillment

Address customer queries both in person and over the phone, sharing expertise on our range of products and their applications

Prepare orders for our inside sales team, with high accuracy and attention to detail

Build custom hoses to meet customer specifications

Ship and receive inventory via freight trucks and UPS

Contribute to inventory accuracy through cycle counting and stock correction

Maintain store and warehouse organization by restocking shelves and ensuring cleanliness

Handle trash and recycling duties as needed

Requirements Our ideal candidate will have:

High school diploma or equivalent GED

Legally eligible to work in the US and at least 18 years old

Valid driver’s license and insurability

Exceptional customer service skills with an eye for detail

Professional demeanor and responsibility

Mechanical aptitude and comfort with numbers and fractions

Ability to interpret measurements using a tape measure

Proficiency in telephone etiquette and basic computer skills

Forklift experience is advantageous but not required

Willingness to attempt and improve on all required abilities

Physical Demands This role involves:

Ability to lift at least 75lbs and repetitively handle loads of 50lbs

Comfort standing for extended periods

Ability to twist, turn and move while handling minimal load

Additional Requirements Applicants must pass a drug test and criminal background check and agree to company procedures and policies

Work Schedule Standard hours for this role are Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm, with potential variations, and eventually occasional Saturday morning shifts.
