Project Engineer to assist the Project Manager and other Project Engineers in all aspects of various community land development design.
Perform a variety of clearly defined assignments that require the application of standard design engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.
- Assist in the preparation of design calculations, plans, maps, drawings, technical reports, permit applications, cost estimates, feasibility studies and technical specifications under the guidance of an experienced engineer
- Assist in the design of specific system components such as water, sanitary and storm sewer for the overall design effort.
- Read and interpret surveys and plats,
- Independently research design options, engineering conditions, permitting organizations and processes
- Perform basic CADD drafting and review
- Coordinate with other disciplines and outside consultants as required.
- Participate in construction administration and inspection process by attending field meetings, responding to RFIs and reviewing contractor submittals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering or science field
- FE exam must be completed within 12 months of hire date
- Strong communication skills
- Work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus
- Municipal Utility District experience is a plus
- Valid TX driver’s license
