    Our client is one of the largest civil engineering firms in Texas.  With over 2100 people on staff, they have been experience  steady growth in all of their areas for the last 10 years.  They are now looking to expand their Electrical Engineering team with great highly motivated people.  They have great pay and double bonus plans that set them apart from other firms in the industry. 

     

    General Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for the development of EIC system design concepts and calculations for utility services, standby power generation, motor control centers, variable frequency drives, conduit and cable schedules, electrical system design (lighting, instrumentation, PLC/RTU control and monitoring, and communications), detailed design calculations, and preparation of EIC specifications in low voltage to medium voltage electrical systems.
    • Responsible for projects from initial concept development through the construction phase including the review and written responses to shop drawing submittals, requests for information, change proposal requests, preparation of record drawings, attendance at meeting, site inspections, preparation of punch lists, etc.

    Required Education/Licenses:

    • Bachelor of Science Degree, Electrical Engineering
    • Texas PE Registration (Preferred)

    Required Experience:

    • Eight (8) years of post-graduate experience in the conceptual and detailed design of electrical/instrumentation/control systems for principally midstream oil and gas projects with emphasis on natural gas/crude oil metering stations, compressor/pumping stations, etc.
    • Three (3) years of documented experience of being in independently responsible charge of representing an employer in front of clients, permitting authorities, etc.
    • Highly focused on instrumentation and control valve sizing and preparation of specifications and datasheets for procurement assistance.
    • Experience in P&ID coordination with piping group for review and markup of design.
    • Experience with gas/liquid flow computers and control system wiring diagrams.
    • Strong technical writing and communication skills.
    • Broad skills with various software packages (Word, Excel, Project Scheduling).
    • Specialized skills with ETAP/SKM software is a plus.
