Create landscape architectural designs for high value residential and specialty commercial garden projects
Create comprehensive construction drawing content, including construction technique details as needed for project implementation
Coordinate with the design team to produce comprehensive construction drawing packages
Meet with clients, builders, engineers, designers, and teams to explain project goals
Teach implementation techniques
Assist in conveying prospects into clients
Support and execute team approach with Project Managers, in presenting design concepts and assist in guiding clients through the process while consistently considering the clients' needs
Partner with Project Managers to refine designs and develop rough budgets
Oversee the production of the appropriate level of construction drawings and information needed for bidding assigned projects
Review/assist in developing project costs prepared by Project Managers and/or Design Associates
Partner with Project Managers to coordinate with the installation department and approve work in the field, as needed
Learn the Agile Scrum project management process and tools
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or closely related field
Generally requires a minimum of 10 years as a licensed Landscape Architect
Licensed as required by the State of Texas
Promising portfolio of designs, demonstrating creativity and innovation
Detail-oriented with strong technical and writing skills
Strong design and graphic presentation skills
Excellent communication skills
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
Display moderate, if not proficient, use of AutoCAD of Sketch Up
A strong sense of commitment, a willingness to learn more and a desire to work in a dynamic, deadline-driven team environment
Proficiency in site design, planting plans, grading, drainage and irrigation, and site development a must
