    The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will represent the Company and its women’s health indications. The MSL will develop and maintain long-term, peer-to-peer relationships with critical stakeholders including Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), OB/GYN physicians, Centers of Excellence for Family Health Planning and other health care professionals (HCPs) specializing in Women’s Health. The MSLs will be trained to respond to complex inquiries in a scientific, fair-balanced, compliant manner and serve as a critical field medical resource to these HCPs, constituents and internal customers.

     

    The MSL will function as a field-based extension of the Company’s Medical Affairs and will serve as a liaison between Key Opinion Leaders, other healthcare professionals and the Company. The MSL will deliver comprehensive medical and scientific information in connection with disease states of interest within women’s health. The MSLs will interact with HCPs in both academic medical centers and community practices, support company sponsored research, investigator initiated trials and educational opportunities where appropriate and extend the Medical Affairs resources to practicing clinicians.

     

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Establish the Company as a leading specialty pharmaceutical company committed to developing innovative reproductive health treatments for women’s health
    • Build, maintain, and strengthen professional relationships with local/regional/national KOLs and PCPs through appropriate scientific exchange and serve as a key clinical/scientific resource to these KOL specialists.
    • Attend national congresses and meetings as requested, provide medical and scientific booth support and gather competitive intelligence.
    • Identify competitor studies in the same therapeutic space and provide feedback to internal colleagues.
    • Develop strategies and tactics to effectively communicate complex scientific information and respond to complex clinical questions in a scientific, fair-balanced, compliant manner.
    • Support medical education initiatives such as advisory board meetings and serve as a resource to review materials for medical accuracy as needed.
    • Assist in the identification of investigators and sites for company-sponsored trials as requested.
    • Serve as a liaison for the review, submission, execution, and completion of Investigator Initiated Trial proposals.
    • Maintain appropriate communication flow with internal and external teams.
    • Maintain clinical, scientific, and technical expertise in women’s health through continuous learning and knowledge of the related scientific literature.
    • Adhere to and manage travel and local expenses to meet Copmany policies.
    • Ensure that all activities and interactions comply with the Company’s business guidance, policies and SOPs, OIG, ACCME, and PhRMA guidelines/policies.

      Qualifications

      • Doctoral degree in a relevant health sciences field (Pharm. D., MD, DO, PhD or DNP) is preferred
      • Advanced degree (NP, PA, BSN, MSN) with relevant clinical experience and significant MSL experience will be considered
      • Clinical or scientific experience in Women’s Health required
      • 1-2 years of relevant experience as a field-based MSL, or similar type field medical position preferred
      • Thorough grasp of the pharmaceutical industry, FDA requirements and PhRMA code
      • Demonstrated project management ability
      • Ability to travel up to 70% with easy access to large hub airport
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications; ability to use field-based electronic or other communication tools for all aspects of job is critical
      • Valid driver’s license
