    The Medical Science Liaison/Managed Care Liaison will represent the Company and their lead investigational compound Tovorafenib, currently being evaluated for treatment of pLGG and RAF-altered solid tumors. The Medical Science Liaison (MSL)/Managed Care Liaison Role (MCL) will combine traditional field based MSL duties. (70%) with MCL duties (30%).

    MSL responsibilities include providing clinical trial and research support, KOL engagement and the enrollment of ongoing development trials and pipeline products as requested. MCL responsibilities include maximizing relationships with and providing advanced scientific support to regional and national managed care organizations, pharmacy benefit management companies, health care systems, specialty pharmacies, government payers, and other organizations that are involved with medical formulary decisions for therapeutic areas of strategic interest to the Company.

    Medical Science Liaison Duties and Responsibilities (70%) 

    • Maintain clinical, scientific, and technical expertise in relevant Pediatric Oncology tumors and other disease state areas as required
    • Have a thorough understanding of pLGG and RAF-altered solid tumors, drug development processes, clinical protocols, and related procedures
    • Collaborate compliantly with medical affairs, clinical development, and other internal stakeholders and serve as the Company’s’ resource to HCPs, and large group medical practices when requested
    • Develop and track key opinion leader (KOL) engagement plans – identify, develop, and maintain long-term collaborative relationships with KOLs within assigned region. Participate in medical and scientific exchanges with the medical/ scientific community including advisory boards and clinical trial sites
    • Provide medical/ clinical teams with feedback and insights from interactions with KOLs and investigators
    • Support internal requests for dossier review and medical review/consideration as requested
    • Facilitate research collaborations and investigator sponsored trials [IST]) with key investigators including helping identify, establish, and maintain such collaborations.
    • Represent the company at medical meetings through Medical Affairs’ Scientific Booth coverage and other related activities
    • Engage in speaker identification, training and evaluation and provide support for advisory board meetings as requested
    • Collaborate with Market Access and Commercial colleagues for thought leaders and institutional engagement where appropriate and compliant

    Managed Care Liaison Duties and Responsibilities (30%)

    • Upon request, coordinate and deliver scientific, pharmacoeconomic, and disease awareness information as presentations or other forms of scientific exchange within assigned area to regional and national managed care organizations, pharmacy benefit management companies, health care systems, specialty pharmacies, government payers, and other organizations and other organizations or professionals that are involved with health care policy and medication formulary decision making
    • Communicates relevant business information back to MCL management team and internal business partner
    • Assess and maximize professional relationships with regionally and nationally based managed care organizations and thought leaders in the areas of pharmacoeconomics and outcomes research
    • Lead execution of outcomes related medical strategies including session coverage at scientific and professional meetings as assigned by manager and report information of strategic interest to the Company.

    Qualifications:

    • Doctoral degree in a health sciences related field (PharmD, MD, PhD, or DNP) preferred, Master’s Degree (MBA, MPH, MHA) desirable addition
    • A minimum of 3 years current/previous Oncology MSL experience is strongly preferred and/or pharmaceutical industry experience (e.g. Medical Information, Medical Communications, etc.) focused in Oncology and/or a minimum of 2 years of clinical or research experience in the area of Pediatric Oncology
    • 1 year of experience within the pharmaceutical industry in the areas of Managed Care, Health Outcomes, or similar role is highly preferred
    • Expertise in Pediatric Oncology is highly preferred
    • Thorough grasp of the pharmaceutical industry, FDA requirements and PhRMA Code.
    • Proven track record of teamwork, leadership, timely decision making and results orientation in meeting business objectives.
    • Superior communication skills, both oral and written, and able to engender trust and respect of peers, subordinates, and superiors.
    • Ability to integrate and work in cross functional network.
    • Demonstrated project management ability.
    • Ability to travel up to 50% (approx. 8-10 overnights per month).
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
    • Valid driver’s license.
