Our client is a global pharma company who is a leader in Oncology therapeutics, including Immuno-Oncology. They are combining their Global and US Medical Communications group under one department and under one leader, the Head of Medical Communications, Oncology. And that leader could be you!
The Opportunity
The Head of Medical Communications, Oncology.This exciting and critical role is a headquarters-based position in the DC area. The Head of Medical Information, Oncology will have six direct reports but have oversight of a large organization of both FTEs and outsourced personnel.
The Head of Medical Communications, Oncology will lead in the strategic efforts for this department, including further innovations to bring the department forward in expanded mediums. Success would be building one cohesive team from the emersion of the Global and US group. This is going to take a seasoned leader, who has experience with change management and can understand the Pharmaceutical landscape globally.
We are looking for a leader who also holds a PharmD, PhD, or MD and has had 6+ years in the Pharmaceutical Industry, with at least three of those years leading either a Global or US Medical Communications/Information function in Oncology. The ability to relocate within a commutable distance to headquarters is also required.
