    ABOUT THE ROLE

    Reporting to the Ab2 General Manager, as a member of the Ab2’s Leadership Team, the Head of Financial Delivery will be ultimately responsible in delivering financial education programs to increase technical capability of TOA Global team members.

    You will be passionate about helping TOA Global Trainees, Accountants and Bookkeepers learn and grow whilst facilitating programs that engage learners and impact business.

    Starting with a focus on curating and developing quality content to be a game changer in this industry, you will foster delivery excellence across people, process, and technology in support of our Net Promoter, Client Growth and Business Performance goals. Your day-to-day responsibilities will require you to demonstrate a diverse skillset in managing a fast-growing business, while also providing training, coaching and development initiatives.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for the financial education delivery to team members and clients.
    • Day to day operational management of Pre-Hire program delivery for North America.
    • Design, build, and curate programs addressing performance, skills, and/or behaviour gaps; provide solutions to improve business performance, increase retention and productivity, and develop leaders with contemporary, future focused skills for the finance and accounting industry.
    • Consult with leadership and coordinate Ab2’s learning and development objectives and activities with applicable internal stakeholders on a regular basis to ensure responsiveness to Ab2’s needs.
    • Create learner-centric programs that clients view as a valuable benefit and are embraced to increase the effectiveness of teams.
    • Reporting, analysis, and performance improvement of the function.
    • Role-model company values, culture, and service standards.
    • Strong focus on innovation in design and delivery, including micro-learning, gamification, etc.
    • Use creativity, innovation, and technology to engage clients in world-class learning experiences.
    • Governance of academic curriculum aligned to the Ab2’s Strategic Plan.
    • Reporting and evaluation of growth, effectiveness, and engagement metrics in support of the Ab2
    • General Manager’s Board reporting responsibilities.

     

    ABOUT YOU

    You have loved being an Accountant and know what it takes to be amazingly efficient, effective, and productive for your clients, and you are now obsessed with applying your L&D expertise - for the impact Learning & Development can have on an Accounting and Bookkeeping business, it’s people and its clients. Our goal is to 'WOW' at every point and your technical expertise combined with your L&D prowess will help take us there.

     

    Others would describe you as tenacious, goal-focused, and never satisfied with the status quo. You have an entrepreneurial spirit and a positive mental attitude. Your communication style is clear, concise, and compelling. You have already achieved great things, and you know how to build and inspire teams based on a culture of success you lead.

     

    Ideally you have worked in the education sector, and you will proudly bring your Accounting/CPA qualifications to break new ground in this space. With our growth, there is a lot to build and get done, but you will have the support of the globally aligned executives and a passionate team.

    Crucial to your success will be your track record and expertise in building and scaling L&D initiatives in a high-growth, rapidly adapting environment – focused on accountants, for accountants.

     

    SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

    • 5-10+ years of experience as an Accountant.
    • Thought leader in the science of Accounting, Bookkeeping & Finance.
    • CPA preferred.
    • Business-first orientation - “acts like an owner” in all they do.
    • Qualitative expertise coupled with a proven, quantitative, measurement-based orientation.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high emotional intelligence and executive presence.
    • Ability to effectively engage with and influence clients and colleagues at all levels of the organization and across functional/geographical lines.
    • 5+ years of experience in a learning & development role.
    • Knowledge of adult learning principles to develop effective and world-class learning experiences.
    • Expertise in instructional design, learning content development, content curation and program management.
    • Experience facilitating in-person and online training programs.
    • Excellent presentation skills, including training design and delivery utilizing a variety of media.
    • Demonstrated ability to leverage metrics and analytics in learning programs to drive effectiveness and impact.
    • Knowledge of current trends and innovations in the areas of adult learning with experience successfully applying these learnings on a global scale.
    • Fast, nimble, and comfortable with ambiguity; embraces a “speed wins” and “excellence over perfection” approach balanced with the ability to plan and then act.
    • Demonstrated ability to use technology to execute strategy and measure results.
    • Ability to think and plan strategically but follow through and act on tactical requirements needed.
    • Good sense of humour, and a true enjoyment of the work.
    • Accounting industry experience essential.
