TOOL DESIGNER

to join our team!

In this role you will be responsible for designing production-related tools and machinery for both new

and existing products, as well as participating in production development activities. In addition, you

will be supporting our Application Development Engineering and Production in their daily and longterm

activities. The position is located at our US factory in Erlanger. You will report to the Tool

Design Manager, BU Engineered Solutions.

Your main responsibilities and tasks include:

⬧ Designing of pultrusion production related tooling and machinery

⬧ Co-operation and communication with tooling suppliers

⬧ New products development, optimization, and design

⬧ Design related documentation management

Desired skills and competencies:

⬧ B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Plastic Technology or

a related field

⬧ Experience in design engineering

⬧ Knowledge of mechanical engineering and structural analysis, strength calculations

⬧ Proficiency in SolidWorks and MS Office and SolidWorks PDM or such related product data

management systems

⬧ Proactive problem-solving attitude

⬧ Hands-on approach to technical solutions

⬧ Self-motivation to learn and develop new skills in composite materials and applications

⬧ Willingness to quickly adapt to new projects, technologies, and work environments

⬧ Good verbal communication and technical writing skills

⬧ Fluent in spoken and written in English for communication with international customers,

suppliers and team members; other languages are a plus
