  • Responsibilities

    Do you enjoy being involved in all aspects of the talent lifecycle, from promoting the company and hiring needs, to sourcing top talent, to welcoming and training new talent to ease them into their roles? If you are a successful sourcer of top talent (creative, technical, marketing) and a confident closer but would like to have more ownership of the end-to-end career services spectrum, this job is for you.   You'll need to help build the reputation of our brands by being a recruiting and careers thought leader who prepares content and marketing materials to get our name and needs out there and build a relationship with the communities around us.  You'll own the complete recruiting process from assessing and prioritizing the hiring needs of our agency to building efficient processes to grow the team, to sourcing, coordinating, and vetting all candidates.   And, then you'll stay connected to the hires we make by helping to onboard them into their roles and set them up for success for their initial trial period. 

    Duties:

    • Help consistently scale the company 

    • Partner internally to identify hiring priorities

    • Leverage the WHO methodology to own the recruiting process, including:

    • Drafting scorecards per position to evaluate candidates and managing completion and assessment of scorecard evaluations submitted by team members. This involves identifying desired outcomes and candidate attributes for each position.

    • Source talent 

    • Create and manage the talent pipeline

    • Lead the screening interview

    • Set-up the Who interview and Focused interview for the team and coordinate all logistics

    • Lead the Reference interviews

    • Set-up the Sell Conversation (to get the shortlist candidates excited about the position)

    • Issue strategic assignments and ensure evaluation of the assignments by the appropriate internal team members

    • Identify talent through inbound and outbound techniques and creative sourcing channels (e.g. social networking, internet research, LinkedIn, boolean search, regular networking at events, Jazz HR, Breazy, etc.)

    • Author content for recruiting and marketing outreach for our brand, including social media posts, newsletters, event materials, informational materials for schools and community groups, etc. You should be comfortable with being on camera, networking, and coming up with ideas for content.

    • Establish and own relationships with relevant groups and developer communities

    • Track goals, metrics, and performance of recruiting goals

    • Hire and contract talent globally for a variety of roles

    • Optimize the performance of job listings 

    • Create and own a positive candidate experience by developing and maintaining strong relationships with regular touchpoints and diligent follow-through 

    • Become an expert in our company, culture, and value proposition to excite and convert prospective candidates 

    • Help create and negotiate offers 

    • Train new hires to onboard them into their roles

     

    Requirements (unless you convince us otherwise):

    • Adherence to a variation of the WHO methodology for recruiting and hiring
    • Familiarity or desire to adopt Rockefeller Habits for Scaling Up
    • A strong understanding of creative, marketing, and technical agency roles 
    • Bachelor's degree
    • 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience. Minimum 1 year as an in-house recruiter and minimum of 1 year as an agency recruiter 
    • Communicate professionally, tactfully, and with the utmost diplomacy at all times, treating all candidates with dignity and respect but also going above and beyond to make recruiting for our company a desirable experience
    • Comfort with content creation
    • Desire and love for coaching and mentoring
    • Maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times
    • Have demonstrated experience executing a full-cycle recruiting process
    • Have an exceptional customer service focus combined with exemplary follow-through
    • Have strong written and verbal communication skills with no fear of cold calling, networking, and public speaking
    • Proven ability to consistently and positively contribute in a fast-paced changing work environment while prioritizing multiple functions and managing time efficiently
    • Effectively influence and drive toward results in a fast-paced environment 
    • Be Metric driven and have an ability to make data-driven decisions 
    • Offer creativity in problem-solving, resourcefulness across all stages of the hiring cycle 
    • Demonstrate excellent time management and multitasking skills 
    • Showcase a defined method of organization 
    • Be an energetic, resourceful self-starter with high integrity, strong presence and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment
    • Have helped rapidly grow a team at a small company before
    • Must have worked as a solo recruiter or be incredibly entrepreneurial - there is not a recruiting department and teams of hiring managers - only you!
    • Must have helped rapidly scale up a company previously

    • A robust personal social media presence

    • Have experience working at start-ups 

    • Experience with Wrike, Airtable, Box, Slack, Breezy and Jazz HR
