We are currently in search of a Vice President to join our film and television lending group. This position will function as a primary external contact for lending and lead the closing process. The ideal candidate is a seasoned industry professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop leads and cultivate relationships to grow the lending business
- Assess the viability and profitability of lending transactions
- Oversee the underwriting and closing process for loans
- Prepare and improve upon models for film production loans
- Externally manage client relationships and shepherd open files through the underwriting process problem-solve any issues with sensitivity in a timely manner
- Internally lead problem solving to ensure that loans move to timely closing
- Act as a resource to teams within the organization, finding and capitalizing on synergies within the revenue channels
Requirements
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the film/television industry required. Production, finance, sales, and/or distribution preferred
- Knowledge of the production cycle strongly desired (pre-production through post-production)
- Proficient in communicating via all commonly used digital platforms/channels (i.e., video chat, email, telephone, etc.)
- Conflict management and soft skills required (i.e., ability to communicate with prospective clients, mentor and lead junior staff, negotiate terms, resolve issues without escalation, etc.)
- Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization
- Must be comfortable working both independently and in a group setting
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
