Our client, a successful financial technology and services company, currently seeks an experienced Junior .NET Core Developer to create efficient, scalable, and maintainable software solutions using the .NET Core framework. The individual in this position must be able to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams while participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle. In addition to writing code, this position is responsible for troubleshooting/debugging issues and contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes while staying current with the latest trends and best practices in the field. This hybrid position will require the selected candidate to work at least 3-4 days per week in the company’s Edison, NJ office.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications using .NET Core framework.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver robust solutions.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Write clean, well-structured, and documented code following best practices and coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability of applications.
• Stay updated with the latest technologies, trends, and best practices in .NET Core development.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide status updates, report issues, and seek feedback.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 1-2 years of hands-on experience in .NET Core development.
• Proficiency in C# programming language and .NET Core framework.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience with database technologies in SQL Server.
• Familiarity with web development technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, Vue.js).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
• Knowledge of software development tools and practices, including version control systems (e.g., Git), Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (e.g., NUnit, xUnit) and test-driven development (TDD) practices.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
