  • Responsibilities

    Our client, a successful financial technology and services company, currently seeks a reliable, self-starter to work as a Network Security Consultant. The selected candidate will ensure the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of the company’s network security architecture, collaborating with cross-functional teams to address security requirements.

    Responsibilities:

    • Design, implement, and maintain network security infrastructure, with a focus on Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Meraki, Citrix NetScaler, and other relevant technologies.
    • Ensure the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of the network security architecture.
    • Ensure daily and regular activities are completed in a timely manner to meet SLAs (Service Level Agreements).
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address security requirements.
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of network security configurations, policies, and procedures. Update documentation as changes are approved and implemented.
    • Create and maintain network diagrams.
    • Follow company’s change management process regarding documentation modification, approval, and track production implementation.
    • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide timely responses to security incidents outside regular working hours.
    • Maintain thorough documentation of security policies, procedures, and controls in compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Generate and submit reports to regulatory bodies as required, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
    • Collaborate with legal counsel to address any legal or regulatory issues related to network security.
    • Configure and manage MPLS/VPN solutions to provide secure remote access for employees, clients, and partners.
    • Extend security measures to cloud environments, including AWS.
    • Implement and manage security controls specific to cloud platforms, ensuring the secure configuration of cloud resources.
    • Work closely with cloud architects to design and deploy secure cloud infrastructure.
    • Keep active threat assessment communications from the industry, participate as directed in industry forums and webinars related to threat assessment and mitigation.
    • Work with Infosec team to establish FFIEC CAT maturity status and review goals/gaps as needed.

    Requirements:

    • Computer Science BS/Engineering.
    • 5-7 years of hands-on expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network security solutions.
    • A deep understanding of network security technologies, including palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Meraki, Citrix NetScaler, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) access, Software Defined Networks (SDN), VPN, and Cloud security.
    • Large Scale implementation experience.
    • Critical problem-solving skills.
    • Knowledge of BGP & OSPF routing protocols.

    Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

    • Relevant certifications in network security are highly desirable.
    • Previous experience in financially regulated environments (SEC, OCC, Federal Reserve, FINRA, SOC 1 and SOC 2, etc.) preferred.
