Our client – a progressive Fintech leader serving a range of clients from single and multifamily offices to registered investment advisers, and private trust companies – is currently seeking candidates to fill a full-time Performance Analyst position.

Combining an amazing company culture with proprietary software that consolidates account data from multiple sources, focuses on data integrity, reconciles discrepancies, and offers flexible reporting – this hybrid role will be based out of a cutting-edge office space in Edison, NJ.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing Investment performance results of securities, segments, and total portfolios on a monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc basis.
• Analyzing and confirming the validity of outliers at the security, segment, and total portfolio level, while communicating and working with the appropriate departments for resolution.
• Responding to complex performance related questions/inquiries.
• Reconciling performance cash variances on a monthly basis.
• Making manual adjusting entries in the performance model when needed.
• Creating, updating, and reviewing indices/benchmarks on a daily, monthly, and quarterly basis.
• Producing and reviewing investment performance reports on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Consistently following up on all outstanding issues to ensure resolution.
• Testing and reviewing new and existing functionality related to investment performance activities.

Skills & Knowledge:

• 1-4 years of experience in investment performance analytics or related role with a strong understanding of return calculation methodologies and familiarity with securities processing including:
  • Corporate actions
  • Security pricing
  • Portfolio accounting
• Attention to detail and strong analytical and critical thinking ability.
• Solid communication skills and the flexibility to work well independently and as part of a team.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks, promptly following up and responding to all relevant stakeholders.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• BA/BS/BBA Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Math, or Statistics.
• Experience with fund accounting.
