SITE POLICY SPECIALIST - SOCIAL NETWORKING INDUSTRY

General Overview:
Our client is seeking a "Site Policy Specialist" with a passion for technology and joining a leading social media and networking provider.
COMPLETE FLUENCY IN ENGLISH; BILINGUAL WRITTEN AND ORAL FLUENCY IN ANOTHER LANGUAGE (PREFERABLY IN ARABIC) AVAILABILITY TO WORK WEEKEND COVERAGE (STANDARD SCHEDULE: TUESDAY-SATURDAY ORSUNDAY-THURSDAY);
Duties:
- Resolve reports of abuse/rules violations, quickly and efficiently;
- Work closely with other teams and in-house counsel to identify, prioritize, organize, and resolve complex safety issues and other escalated matters;
- Compile documentation regarding issue resolution for team policy areas;
- Support research initiatives to inform escalation decision-making, and policy development;
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education / experience
- At least 2 years in an operations role at a tech company (preferably with product compliance and/or privacy experience/exposure).
- Familiar with processes and tools used for increased efficiency; You are extremely detail-oriented; You are a strong team player; You have excellent communication, and writing skills;
- You work well under tight deadlines; You have patience, determination, flexibility, and grit; You are familiar with and have respect for the norms of different cultures;
- Complete fluency in English; Bilingual written and oral fluency in another language (PREFERABLY IN ARABIC)
- Availability to work weekend coverage (Standard schedule: Tuesday-Saturday orSunday-Thursday);
- Experience in the field of study and/or professional experience in promoting online safety, child safety online, and/or countering violent extremism;
- Experience using third-party ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, Service Cloud, etc.);
- Experience handling high-profile escalations;
