COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST II - COMPUTER HARDWARE INDUSTRY
Location: Irvine, CA
Pay Rate: $40/hr
Start Date: ASAP
5 Month Contract Role (Potential for Extension or Conversion)

Our client is seeking an "Communications Specialist II " for a computer hardware company that is driving the innovation needed to help customers capture, preserve, access and transform an ever-increasing diversity of data. Duties:
- Work closely with UX Compliance Lead to schedule and maintain editorial calendar.
- Gather and schedule non-marketing content for Western Digital websites, third-party sites, newsletters, and social media sites.
- Gather assets for all digital properties.
- Review and curate new and existing content for relevance and sun-setting.
- Advocate UX accessibility best practices and UX editorial standards.
- Work with SEO to optimize web pages and listings for Google Analytics, SEO, and performance metrics.
- Participate actively in following current trends in web content, accessibility, web design, SEO strategies, and new development technologies.
- Attend daily UX team and project management meetings.
- Execute other business and content development projects as needed.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or similar experience in marketing, communications or journalism. Ideally, 2+ years of relevant work experience (within E-commerce and Sales Support industries)
- Content operations management skills, with an understanding of web design, UX practices and standards, and digital marketing.
- Strong computer literacy.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and JIRA.
- Experience or background with IT, UX, or technical writing.
- Experience proofreading and editing, a plus.
- Prior experience with UX Design teams or involvement in UX projects.
