    WEB QA ENGINEER I - COMPUTER HARDWARE INDUSTRY Location: Irvine, CA  Start Date: ASAP 12 Month Contract Role (Potential for Extension or Conversion) Job Category: Engineering

       Our client is seeking a_ 'Web QA Engineer I' _with a passion for technology and joining the world's leading storage solutions provider who is all about delivering the possibilities of data. In this role you will coordinate and manage all activities related to the construction. As a Quality Engineer you will work alongside our development teams and Product Owners on the design and development of our web platforms. You will be involved throughout the development lifecycle with particular responsibility for the testing of front-end web functionality. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for test planning, documenting, coordinating and testing of systems, databases, and user interfaces. This is a hybrid role that will include both manual testing and web automation scripting for functional, integration, regression and performance testing to meet the business requirements, strategic mission, and goals of the organization while mitigating risk.  Your principal responsibility will be ADA compliance testing of our websites and on-line documents.   Duties:

    • Write and execute manual test cases
    • Write test plans
    • Design and create automated test scripts and scenarios
    • Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative tests, bug retests, performance, or usability
    • Perform mobile and web testing on an on-going basis
    • Evaluate and test changes for accuracy and consistency 
    • Document software defects using JIRA bug tracking system
    • Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes
    • Proven ability to make strategic decisions while also driving quality into the organization

    Education & Experience:

    • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
    • Experience building and designing test cases including practical experience with various test methodologies
    • Experience with client-side debugging using browser developer tools
    • 2+ years of hands on experience in testing web applications
    • Experience with web building blocks (HTTP, HTML, CSS, JSON)
    • Experience building and designing test cases including knowledge of test methodologies
    • You thrive in a dynamic, agile SCRUM, start-up environment
    • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
    • Proven experience with web automation testing tools
    • Experience with ADA compliance testing a plus, but not a requirement.
