    LEGAL PRODUCT OPERATIONS SPECIALIST - SOCIAL NETWORKING INDUSTRY Pay Rate: $42.75/hr Start Date: ASAP 12 - Month Contract Role Department: T&S Legal Product Job Category: Legal, IP & Policy General Overview:

      Our client is seeking a "Legal Product Operations Specialist" with a passion for technology and joining a leading social media and networking provider.    In this position you will join the Product Counsel team and partner closely with engineering, product, design, and research as well as the Office of Data Protection, Privacy Counsel, and other members across Legal. Product Counsel are key advisors to the product and engineering teams, and also work closely with policy and business colleagues. All of them are passionate about the law and growing our business in a way that makes the team proud. Duties:

    • You will oversee and maintain our legal product review request queue, including:
    • Serve as the first point of contact for all inbound Product Counsel and privacy review requests
    • Review product briefs, assess risks, and provide guidance to product and engineering teams.
    • Field initial questions from our product, engineering, design, and research teams and route tickets to our attorneys as necessary
    • Track inbound ticket volumes and review request ticket routing  
    • Partner with legal teams to maintain internal legal resources, including forms, training decks, internal FAQs and checklists
    • Identify trends to create internal workflow improvements to drive efficiencies and collaborate with others to make those improvements a reality
    • Help with ad hoc projects as needed

    Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education / experience
    • At least 2 years in an operations role at a tech company (preferably with product compliance and/or privacy experience/exposure).
    • Experience with customer support review queues and/or a strong background in operations
    • You are able to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally across many stakeholders
    • A devotion to detail and organization; process-oriented and high comfort level with navigating disparate systems
    • Ability and strong desire to work in a fast-moving environment and work effectively across a variety of teams to solve problems
    • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
    • You have excellent judgment and ability to work independently, but escalate issues and seek sign off/guidance appropriately
    • Courage to take initiative, address problems, flag review request trends, and make continuous process improvements
    • Learning new things is exciting to you, and you are willing to roll-up-your-sleeves and help where needed
    • Passion and enthusiasm for protecting user privacy and freedom of expression.
    • Experience working in Jira, Confluence, G Suite, and Slac
