JR & SR. WEB UI DESIGNER - COMPUTER SOFTWARE INDUSTRY Location: San Francisco, CA  Pay Rate: DOE Start Date: ASAP 6 month Contract Role Department: Brand+Creative Job Category: Product Management and UX

   On behalf of our computer software industry client, we are seeking an "Web UI Designer" for a 4 month contract opportunity. Our client is responsible for empowering IT, DevOps and security teams to transform their organizations with data from any source and on any timescale. They are a company filled with people who are passionate about their product and seek to deliver the best experience for their customers.   As a Web UI Designer you will contribute to the design of the web and brand presence on their corporate website and other public facing websites. This role requires a high-level of collaboration with the web and content marketing teams and subject-matter experts across several groups across the business to deliver a highly engaging site. Duties:

• Participate in concept development, ideation and visual designs for prototypes and mockups.
• Design prototypes, responsive UI Design layouts, build imagery and interactive assets that address the business and brand requirements, including design and production of screen layouts.
• Deliver solid redlines for dev team to execute and contribute to our Design system.
• You will be integral to collaborating with the marketing department to refine the user experience while working closely with web UX, web publishers and web developers for delivery.
• Help establish and regularly report on metrics to measure success and to continuously improve design deliverables.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of our Design system.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest web design trends and technologies.

Education & Experience:

• BA or MA in Graphic Design, Communication Design, Information Design, Digital Media Design or other Visual Design field.
• 3 years (Jr Level) of professional experience in a dynamic start-up environment or in-house with one of the big name companies in the bay Area (Salesforce, Google, Apple, Oracle, etc.), or with an interactive agency.
• Current online Portfolio - which highlights a shown grasp of web design principles.
• You are enthusiastic about responsive web design, user experience and web development and can bring new and innovative ideas to improve the web presence.
• 5+ Years (Senior-level) of professional experience in a dynamic start-up environment or in-house with one of the big name companies in the Bay Area (Salesforce, Google, Apple, Oracle etc.), or with an interactive agency.
• Self-starter that loves to get things done and is committed to constant learning.
• You enjoy cross-functional collaboration with multiple teams to achieve a consensus on design and are comfortable working in a fast paced company with the ability to take on different projects while maintaining calm under pressure.
• Excellent communicator across different mediums and a variety of multi-functional teams.
• Expert knowledge of UI design standard methodologies and web production techniques.
• Shown experience originating new concepts and innovative design approaches for web which have significant impact on marketing efforts.
• Proficient in MSOffice suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Proficient in G Suite: Docs, Sheets, Slides.
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Figma (or similar UI design software) required.
• Proficient in web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, Javascript and frameworks such as Bootstrap. Through understanding of web technology and comfort with light front end coding required.
• Motion graphics and video for Web, interactive prototyping and/or illustration experience a plus.
