Automated Railroad Maintenance Systems (ARMS) is located in O’Fallon, MO and sells power and communication systems to the North American Railroad Industry. ARMS specializes in Design, Distribution, and System Integration including complete turnkey systems. ARMS has an exciting position for an experienced Electrical Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop DC power plant systems
Specify ideal power components, proper battery sizing, and detailed design interface.
Create detailed PCB designs
Includes PCB component selections, schematics, board layout, and integrated testing.
Design test systems
Equipment and procedures for Design acceptance and Production acceptance.
Documentation
Create comprehensive technical document packages for products and systems.
Support sustaining products
Includes specification of part alternates and product design revisions.
Requirements:
Minimum of a BSEE degree in Electronics.
Minimum of 5 years of experience designing power systems and PCB’s.
Analog and Digital circuit design experience.
Fluent with PCB software development tools (Eagle or Altium preferred).
Firmware and Software experience.
Demonstrate ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects and workload.
Works well in a team environment.
Desirable skills:
Experience with Railroad Signal & Telecom
Solidworks CAD experience
Experience with acceptance testing; EMC/EMI, Shock, vibration, temperature.
Quality Control experience and certifications
