Automated Railroad Maintenance Systems (ARMS) is located in O’Fallon, MO and sells power and communication systems to the North American Railroad Industry. ARMS specializes in Design, Distribution, and System Integration including complete turnkey systems. ARMS has an exciting position for a Senior Electronics Technician with expertise in troubleshooting, repair, and testing of Electronics equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Production and Quality Support
Perform inspections and functional testing of electronics products per company procedures.
Assist production department.
Engineering Support
Prototype fabrication and testing, component research, documentation.
Perform RMA repairs
Troubleshoot electronics assemblies and PCB’s to component level, and perform smt and thruhole rework/repair. Complete related service reports.
Product Documentation Support
Review and understand all technical documents; Assembly Control Documents, Bills of Materials, Wiring Diagrams, Test Procedures.
Requirements:
Minimum of an Associate’s degree in Electronics
Minimum of 5 years applicable experience
Proficient with electronic test equipment (meters, oscilloscopes, etc.)
Excellent electronics troubleshooting skills (to component level)
Adept at hands on PCB rework skills, through-hole and SMT
Good written and oral communication skills.
Competent with MSOffice (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Some fabrication assistance may be required for Production or Engineering
Other desirable skills:
Solidworks CAD experience
Quality Control experience and certifications
LabView programming experience
